First of all many thanks to Barbara Hirst for her UA on my previous upload, The Burgtor Smile
Had a good day out yesterday at the YPU (Yorkshire Photographic Union) Annual Assembly and Exhibition, which was held this year in Hull. Also had the pleasure of meeting a couple of EPZers - Phil Haigh (phil99) who I've met a few times previously, and also Richard Spurdens (Richsr) who I met for the first time, and was in disguise in his spectacles. Apologies for not immediately recognising you Richard! Wink
The town centre side of the Burgtor offers a better view of the Burgturm (Castle Tower) with its very ornate looking clock - it's just a pity I chopped off the top bit of the tower! Sad

Single Raw image processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

The pastel soft tones make this a very appealing shot, pity about the top of the tower but sometimes you just can't get everything in Smile

Maybe you could just add a bit of sky above the tower, you've got probably all of it anyway. What a wonderful town, it must have been the place to be in its day. .......Sandy

How fortunate to get this completely devoid of pesky intrusive humans spoiling the scene, Trev...all apart from that furtive figure in the archway.

A very well balanced shot of this attractive old urban scene, Trev: looks such an interesting place with all these old buildings with so many photo opportunities.

Those medieval Germans knew more than a thing or two about building towers but nothing whatever about composing photographs within a 3:2 format, Trev, so they must take a great chunk of the blame for the missing tower top BlushTongueGrin
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Shame that they were so thoughtless that they built the tower too tall Trev, but a lovely shot nevertheless.
