The Pioneer White or African Caper White (Belenois aurota) is a small to medium-sized butterfly of the Family Pieridae, that is, the Yellows and Whites, which is found in South Asia and Africa. In Africa, it is also known as the Brown-veined White, and is well known during summer and autumn when large numbers migrate north-east over the interior.
This Butterfly is about 3/4in but it seems to have such a small body for its wing size. I spotted this in the garden I also spotted one that was Huge, around 4in but could not get any shots. Thank goodness people cant see me running like an idiot to take a pic, I have always wondered how strange we must all look when taking Photographs. I seem to be uploading so many Butterflies sorry. As the saying goes , Make hay while the sun shines. They wont be around much longer as it was white with frost this morning.
Good Morning to everyone I would like to say thank you for some special comments and for your votes of late really something Thank you.
A very special thank you To LuDa for her UA yesterday.
