Another shot from this great location on Romney Marsh. I have not photographed the church from this angle before and to be honest its not for the faint hearted. With 2 of the Tripod legs submerged about 3 feet under water and the 3rd leg on a very steep bank all I can say is thank goodness for Live View!

The fg grasses really make this image Derek, well worth the fear of the tripod going walkies. Nice work.

Well done Derek - it sounds a little alarming! I know the church; it is so beautiful and you've captured it so well here. The light is perfect and the foreground fab!

I think its full title is St Thomas-A-Becket in the Marsh its near a hamlet called Fairfield in Kent which is about 8 miles from Rye just over the border in East Sussex.

This is the main 'canal' that runs along the west side of the Church Sarah. I had made the trip down in the hope that the marsh reeds would have been left to grow giving some really nice foreground from my favourite angle (towards the south side of the church) but it looks like the farmer is cutting this regularly to help keep the streams running.
