A different angle to my first upload from here. This time with the reeds in the foreground catching the sun. this was taken towards the end of the shoot. The frost was melting but the light was still good.
This is an excellent and stunning photo !! Very well taken
Hi, I like the light on it the colours and the leading line.
I find that the church in this picture here is better presented proportionally if compared with the icy picture taken earlier. Voted.
all three spot on
Nice comp and light Derek and an unusual location for a lonely house.
After making a comparison between your previous variants I think the light works better in this variant as it warms up the Reed Bed and the Kent Peg Tiled Roof quite beautifully.
Stunning colours. HDR like, very effective
Spot on perfection !. The church sits nicely in the frame, with things going on that adds lots of interest such as good lead in lines on reeds and water, light on church is perfect, bank on right pointing back to the church and the sky's not too fussy either leading the viewer back to the church. Excellent complex composition.
Another excellent image from Fairfield Church Derek! That light is wonderful.
Thanks for the words of support everyone. A really big thank you to Herman and Andy for their User Awards. Thanks guys I really appreciate it.

Not a Photomatix pixel in sight. Promise.

It does look like a house but its a small church and still holds regular services (worshippers are required to bring their own wellies)
Great to receive your award John. Thank you.
The frost has largely melted but the compensation is the sumptuous colour of the church and that roof. Still good lead in depth fom the stream but the reeds lead you to the curch very effectively too. I just wonder if the sky is a bit too dark at the top now but it does give an appropriate halo effect to the church! I think it's my favourite so far

Good point re the sky Alan. I did actually process another version of this ( although I think it was from a different file ) with the sky lighter at the top. I just think that the darker sky does concentrate the eye onto the subject a little better and provides more atmosphere.
beautiful crisp shot, the colours ,light and composition are spot on.... what a great building.
What an outstanding shot, Derek! Excellent conditions, composition and pp. One of the best images I've seen in a long while.
Thank you Alun and thank you so much for your UA.
Another lovely image form here Derek
Classic shot well executed with excellent light
You really made the most of this opportunity Derek. Keep 'em coming is what I say!!
Just as beautiful in the warmer light Derek, you were certainly blessed on this morning
