Sisteron, the "Pearl of Haute Provence" with its citadel overlooking the town and the Durance river (out of shot, in front of the lower buildings). We didn't stop here having been delayed by a closed road but it certainly looks to be worth a look on another trip.
V2 is a pano of three shots stitched in PhotoShop.
Thanks for your attention.

Excellent complentary images but I do like v1 with the antiquity of the buildings and the imposing citadel.

Looked like a WesternRed image. Wow! Now we have another Master image maker in David. This is magical and beyond imagination. Beautiful thing.
V2 is very good also but needs a left side crop through leftmost foreground trees.
V1 though is difficult to accept as real. It's better than fiction. Theft for local wall hanging is a possibility. TG
Fortress mentality in rock and stone. I think I want V1 for the compact, concentrated effect.
Moira
I like V2 for the whole picture
well done, must try this myself sometime
Yes, a very impressive looking building...and an impressive panorama in V2 also, David ![]()
