First off, Lynne and Bill have confirmed that my brolly technique is indeed that of an Englishman
[By the way, Bill, I wouldn’t call it lineage per se ‘cos my mum was adopted…but they’ve always been family]
Now then…on with the Claire files. Claire stayed at a backpackers’ hotel (very comfy room) in Chinatown when she was here. I would pick her up and we would check out different places. At that time, it was the Mid-Autumn Festival, so there were all these lovely lanterns in Chinatown.
Pic 2 is a different view to show the shadows on the road.
Pic 3 is me capturing this fella capturing the lanterns. Check out the sweet little thing in the pram at the bottom of the pic!

Wow, that is colourful, lovely shadows they throw on the road as well. Raining here again.............![]()

V1 and V3 work best by filling the frame with colour. I like the shadows in V2, mind you ![]()
Thanks for the mention, Andrew. I have re-read my yesterday's comments this morning and found that I actually typed 'linerage'. My commenting is increasingly subject to typos of this sort; I have decided to keep a log of them that I may publish one day, having in the last hour already come up with textgures ![]()

Excellent compositions, particularly V1 & V3, and very clever use of colour. The flat sky and montones of the buildings served you well, as do those orange support thingies.
Moira
V1 for me - what an amazing sight Andrew and so colourful ![]()

Three very colourful and well composed street scenes Andrew, v1 was a great choice as the lead
Lovely series but the eye grabbing colour and order of the lanterns in V1 does it best for me. You should have got a close up of that cutie in V3!
V1 and v3 are my favorites here - love this. What a sight to see.
I hope Christmas was good to you ![]()

A riot of colour, love one & two Andrew.
Looks like you wnjoyed Claires visit again.
Thanks for the votes on my Druid:Winter solstice series.
Hope youv'e suitably recovered from the over eating festivities my mate.
Gareth
V3 is so cute! I like the composition very much.
V1 fascinated me, what a difference to our Christmas decorations. And the long row of dustbins and orange bins is an extra point of interest!
