Hi folks
The Cornish coast, west of Treyarnon Bay.
A stitch of my last eight shots from my rainy, windy, grey sojourn last weekend.
Not perfect by any means, since it was shot in portrait format on a three axis tripod head which is far from ideal with the camera hanging off to one side as it does, in a mad rush as I was rushing to keep up with my hungry wife as she tromped off to the car! (She'd already disappeared out of frame to the right)
So, a very quick gauge of the exposure, whack on a three stop grad to give a bit of life to the sky and fire away 8 shots in very quick succession whilst hanging over the edge of a precipitous drop - something of anathema to me!
In hindsight, it was probably too many shots, too closely spaced and I will, probably, end up redoing it with fewer frames, but I was very pleasantly surprise at how well ptgui actually coped with it!
And it was a really good place for a long walk on a typically Cornish day!
As I say, not perfect but it does give a flavour of the place and the gloominess of the weekend and I actually like it quite a lot, so I thought I'd put it up anyway. ![]()
Which obviously means it's destined for the Long Drop To Oblivion! Ha ha! ![]()
Thanks for dropping by to have a look, have a good weekend and may the light be with you. ![]()
Cheers, I'm off to the pub ![]()

Love view and that Cornish sunshine you've managed to capture here Bill. Hope you managed to catch up with the wife and she wasn't too upset with you for staying behind....bet she made you pay for dinner as well? ![]()

If they say that revenge is a dish best served cold, I take it you had salad that night then....![]()
Have a good weekend Bill.
Many thanks everyone - a much better reception than I anticipated, which is always a good thing in my book!
Quote: If I had any criticism it is that I'd like to have seen more sea to the left just to add balance, I really like the right hand side though, some lovely shapes with path and the windblown grass.

Good point, Jon.
With more time, a less hungry wife and no fence in my way (it was just out of frame left) I may have explored the compositional possibilties a bit more. As it was, I did intend to have the large stack close to the left hand side, although, as you say, a little more sea on the left would have been nice.
