I've been struggling for inspiration lately due to not getting the kind of pictures that I'd like to. The reason being my digital compact will only go so far and I always feel the need to manipulate everything I take on it, and I'm not getting any good images in ps at the moment which has resulted in a bit of photographers block.
I just need a bit of a kickstart to get me moving again (and a nice digital SLR), anyway...
...til my next post, Martin.

I'm feeling your pain Martin - it's bad when you get a block. It's when you start thinking about being blocked that you convince yourself that you are as well.
Now - the image. The repetition works nicely, the colours are good. Not a fan of the halo effect the man has round his head.
Hope to hear you sounding more positive soon.
Paul
Cheers for the kind words Paul.
The halo effect you mention is a result of my lazyness in ps - that's how bad it's got for me. I'd put a lot of effort in to my Peace shot and now for some reason seem to have lost my umph for creating.
Thanks again,
Martin.
It's difficult to come up with pictures you're proud of everyday - unless you're a freelance photographer or have a lot of spare time. I had a block this week - and had real strange feedback starvation pangs. - it pushes you to get out and on to it again.
I commented on it anyway - but your 'Chillin' image is just brilliant. I'll look out for your stuff in future.
Paul
i hear you. i go through phases, too. i haven't done a daily posting for a long time. sometimes we expect so much from ourselves.
this seems like a good enough photograph to begin with, martin, but maybe it's true, you're just ready for the next step. that digital slr. how exciting!
Cheers.
A digital SLR would only be exciting if I actually had one.
I'm afraid you've just got to get up, camera under your arm and get on out to shoot it out of your system. Know the feeling and sympathise. Don't worry, it'll pass and anyway if your problem means we have to put up with things like today's image then I for one am not complaining!
Take care,
David
