A Duck did find a feather
Just lying in the sand
He stopped to think on whether
T'was fortune's lucky hand
For he had lost one just like that
A day or two ago
And felt a hole, a quite big gap
In his feathers down below
He'd tried a leaf, some twigs and moss
He'd even tried a shell
But keenly did he feel the loss
Of down that fitted well.....!
Good poem to accompany this very fine presentation, Pauline.
Lovely work all round.
A really lovely shot ... and poem.
Like the textures and tones in this Polly, good poem too

Couldn't agree more! Wonderful afterwork on this, and love the poem!
I love your use of textures in those beautiful and artistic natural history images of yours. Those white faced whistling ducks are such characters and great fun to watch at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trusts.
