This is a shot of the Duke of Burgundy butterfly, taken near Ramsbury Wiltshire this afternoon. I have made about four visits the site without success and then this afternoon I saw two. Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Good wing detail and I have only seen one butterfly this year.

Excellent colours captured in this shot. My only comment would be to get down lower more level with the subject. It is a similar comment for some of your other shots too. This one in particular looks to be quite settled jusging by the closed wings and straight forward antennae so it should have been happy for you to spend some time with it Smile
