This is the lectern at St. Saviours Church. The plaque under his right wing reads... "In loving memory of Christine Ridalls, a kind and gentle Lady". Its a 6 image exposure merge to attempt to capture all the detail as the lectern was situated in a bright ray of light and processed through photomatix. This was a difficult image to present as the church was built over a 300 year period, nothing appears to be level, when I got the horizon level the lectern was skewed and visa versa. So here is my best effort.
Thanks for looking and as always thanks to those who c and c'd on my previous images, with a big thanks to Tammy (JustDucky) for her much appreciated UA for Every Rose.
Have a good day all...

Looked at the lines Mark and agree the lectern does not look level, but strange that the windows and some of the bars are straightSmile
I am sure someone will tell you the answer, a lovely golden glow to this and interesting POV

Churches and cathedrals are great for photos and this proves it. I have to agree, however, with Lillian, that it doesn't look quite straight.

Its a crazy crazy image... I think it must be a combination of the floor not being level, the choir in the background not level and the lectern itself not standing straight... No matter what I did something was out of line... eh ho, if so many hadn't voted or commented I'd take it down and start again.

I see what you were up against. Looking at the eagle itself -- it is perfectly vertical but the support that holds it up is slightly tilted.
You made all the right choices -- in terms of squaring things up.
Nicely done, Mark.
