An eagle totem pole in the middle of being carved - stumbled upon this in the woods of the Hermitage near Dunkeld. Haven't been up in ages so don't know where it ended up - but loved the detail in the eagles head and the texture of the wood.

Again, another slide digitised using the macro/lightbox method. Seems to work.

Nice detail in the wood, both grain and carver's marks. Without the grass you could rotate through 90 degrees and present the totem as standing!

Looks like 'Sam - the American Eagle' from the Muppets.................but lying down (or shot down by friendly fire?)
