Had a promising start at Higger Tor this morning with Mr Meangreeny and The Rug. Thought we had left the pea soup on Snake Pass and we arrived at Higger with a clear sky to the east.. However after grabbing a few shots, the mist caught up with us and came down over the Edges, and failed to lift for us.

Not long before we gave up and headed back to the swimming pool cafe for breakfast, I got a couple of shots of Simon and Jura contemplating the morning arrival....

Probably won't go down well but as soon as I saw this when I uploaded, I rather liked it so up it goes Smile.

Both the sunrise and light were rather good over Sheffield, but as soon as we crossed the border the mist enveloped all. Still like this though..and at least you got a glimpse of the sun Wink

I agree with you Jeanie, I like it too. I think it has a great atmosphere and it a very different take on make Peaks scenes. I was on Higger yesterday morning and although it started off grey, some lovely light broke through after about an hour.

Thanks Martin, Paula and Andy.

It was lovely down in Hathesedge at 9am..... but we went back up top after breakfast and it was still enveloped in mist so we came back down.. complete contrast down in the town!

A fine, ethereal, dreamy image, Jeanie, with the two figures well positioned in contemplative mood. Incidentally, two weeks from now I hope to be standing on Jeanie's beach up there at Sanna Bay. Can't wait!

Yes, a super image Jeanie.
Was up at Malham this morning, and could hardly see my hand in front of my face it was so foggy. Not a sniff of light until I was back at my sisters house tucking into bacon and egg sandwiches!!Sad
