A quick walk on Hengistbury Head this morning confirmed that the Egrets are back in the Heronry (and judging by the noises the Herons are there in the main body of the Heronry too)
I only had my 75-300 on the EM-5 so these are quite heavily cropped but I will return in the afternoon with my 500mm mirror on to see if I can get some better action.
In this shot the male, on the left, is displaying to the female on the right.
Only another few weeks and their mini-dinosaur looking chicks should arrive - always a good time as we try to convince visitors that we have pterodactyls in our woods
