THANK YOU FOR VIEWING LARGE
Another one of Sweety and Gaby, a bit different this time.
Had some crop issues here (was thinking about cropping a big part of the top until just above his eyes), but decided to leave it like this. Hope you like it.

Oh God... if views vs click means anything, then this is getting slaughtered.
I'd like to see the colour too, but this works well as it is. Well done.
Nah... he held her really tender... but having said that, I was a bit afraid - me knowing them but others not - that his tender hug might actually look frightening/treathening to some.
love those tattos... and is remarkable.. you would never know its in thailand..

lol... do I sense a bit of irony here
I have to agree with Bacchus, its a very uncomfortable, almost disturbing pose.I dont like it. Her eyelid is being streched, which judging by her expression she obviously dosnt like,a cross between a smile and a cry for help! If your intention was to create something tender for valentines, you have failed spectaculary! ![]()

Ah... a controversy :o) Of course that was my intention (opportunistic grin). Am I succeeding in trying to lie my way out of this ? ;o)
Nothing wrong with pictures which disturb or make one feel uncomfortable, or cause any other emotion. However I assumed from the title, and the fact that the author is a friend of this couple, that his intention was not to produce 'uncomfortable portraiture'. If that was his intention then he succecced.
'A photographer cant help what people do in a shot', I agree but if it spoils the shot or the look, thats what the delete button is for.
This isnt photo journalism.

Well Koen your very good at getting great shots, think this ones another cracker, might be worth darkening the wall in the background a little just to bring out those skin tones and tattoos. Really do love this one.
Paul
Back again Koen, as I could not resist the modification option. Had a little play with this one as I just love it.
Paul
Thanks for the mod Paul. Had a lot of alternative crops myself allthough I never went as far as to crop through his arms (left/right/bottom). To be honest, I prefer them in the picture. With just the forhead cropped, I think it still gives enough of that cocoon feel you mentioned. For tomorrow's (Friday's that is) upload (another photo) I did some work on the bg and tattoos on his shoulders that always seem a little burned out (allthough I'm beginning to think it's rather his tattoos having faded... have to check that when I see him)... Just little changes though... curious to see if it helps.
Thanks again
Yeh sorry for the tight crop Koen, I`d also just realised that the upload was the unfinished version. Now corrected
Paul
thanks. the menacing in the photo was a bit coincidental (or rather accidental), as on the spot it just looked very sweet and tender. But on the photo it indeed turned out different due to the reasons you mention. But he would indeed snap anybody's neck if his trust were broken
