I drove through these storm clouds while travelling from work along the M5 today. It was one of those eerie, scary skies that was just waiting to drop it's rain...and worse.
I could not go home without trying to capture the mood.
The only place I could think of was my tried and trusted Lickey Hills, at the Beacon Hill Topograph.
As I was taking these shots it was Thundering from these clouds and I was only there 10 mins before the rain poured.I ended up UNDER one of the arches until it settled down to just steady rain when I could make the dash back to the car.

Great cloud formation. What a lovely place to stop for a photo.
Can't help but wonder what V2 looked like ![]()
V1 is super, amazing clouds.
Tim
This is a wonderful composition.
That sky is really awesome.
Like the clarity of all that wonderful stonework.
I am always amazed at how clear eveything looks just before the storm breaks.
Hilary
Its always an excellent view up there. This however is a very dramatic one.
A well loved place by me too.......great for kites.

Thanks to everyone for looking, commenting and voting..I'm amazed!
As I was on yesterdays upload.
Tim....Probably put it on Tomorrow (suddenly I thought "what can I put on tomorrow".).so lifted it.
Moira...It was heavy and luckily it broke on the hill before mine.
Hilary...Yes the light seems to be magnified.
Helen...wish they were RED KITES.
INA..as I said I hid under the arch...the only trouble was the rain followed me in there...that's why I had to get out of there.
Cheers all, Keith
I love clouds, especially storm clouds, so this gets my vote.
