One of the many beautifull falls that make up The Fairy Pools on Skye.

The water is turned blue by the minerals in the rocks. I find this particular bit of geology facinating, I love how its formed a perfect line from the waterfall.

A fascinating image with that blue line of stones leading one's eye into the scene: wonderful full DOF.
I too am always pleased to see images that display aspects of the geological nature of the land: had I not pursued the occupation I did, perhaps Geologist might have been high on my list.
Ronnie.

Beautiful Angie! Visited the fairy pools on holiday a couple of weeks ago - stunning area! Unlike others we saw on the day we were not brave enough to swim in them! Beautiful part of the world! John Grin

I've seen a few images of the fairy pools but not one like this.
Beautiful and fascinating.
Have you seen The Fairy Pool near Glenmore Lodge near Aviemore.
The waters there are green.
