Before I dig too dig too deep into the archives, a little more recent nostalgia, photographs from where I used to walk the dogs with Garrath and where, until I am off these blasted crutches, he now walks them alone. These were taken in mid June when the roses were at their showiest.
The dayglo red ones really are that sock-you-in-the eye colour, on a huge bush in a bungalow garden that hangs way over the fence. It is a prolific flowerer from May onwards. The pink floribunda starts flowering much later. I love the way that it produces flowers that start as deepest rose buds progressing to pale pink just before the petals fall.
Anyway, here is my nostalgia post for when I used to be able to walk the dogs. Thanks for looking and I hope that you enjoy at least some of them.
