A cute family of Signets following there mum.......

The population in the UK has increased recently, perhaps due to better protection of this species.

Breeds across most of the UK, other than in northern Scotland, mid-Wales and the moors of south-west England. Possible to see anywhere there is a shallow lake, or a slow-flowing rivers, even in urban areas and parks.

What they eat

Water plants, insects and snails.

Taken at Hinchingbrooke Park Huntingdon Cambridgeshire England......

Camera:Canon EOS 40D

Lovely capture and yes there seems to be a larger influx of swans recently. I just wish people would think twice about what they feed them and not give them bread. Andy
