Both Bishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama have been quoted as saying that the world will be saved through the education of women. I'm inclined to agree with them.

This woman's lot in life struck with this image. Let us hope that the fortunes of her daughters are better than hers for the generations to come.

I really like v2, the subdued light seems to suit the photo much better - as well as helping to bring the focus to her face of course. Great street shot.
