I bumped into this soldier on Saturday and he didn't seem too pleased with me! Wink

Hahaha, thumb on foresight, ciggy smoke threatening his sight and one eye closed, no sniper then Grin
We encountered a "patrol" of these guys a few years back at an event. Very eerie seeing them going by, most of the onlookers went terribly quiet and the urge to shout abuse was near overwhelming - why anyone would reenact as a member of the SS is beyond me - cracking capture by the way.

Excellent mono capture Tony. The image captures just about the right air of menace--although we all know it was just 'hobby' acting. Good use of the vignette to concentrate attention.Grin

And you're never to point a gun at someone unless you intend to use it. But you shot first. Good one, really like it.......Sandy

Thanks Pinnace, Richard, Ron & Sandy Wink

It is a bit strange that grown men would wish to spend the whole weekend being dressed up as a German SS Officer but sometimes they make interesting, out of the ordinary subjects.

All the best, Tony

Weapons have no national identity Wink Wouldn't matter, he could have been using a captured rifle. He don arf look menacing though.

Quote: Is the rifle German?

What an odd question for a photo website! Honest answer is I don't know, neither do I know if the buttons on his jacket are real brass or his blackened face is made with soot or greasepaint. I just take the pictures Wink
