I really do like this - great composition. But it does look, to me, a lot better with the dark areas lifted a little. Have you tried that?

Which dark areas do you mean? As you can see from the sky it was generally very overcast, so even though this is a blend of two exposures (the second starting at the rock line) I have tried to maintain a reasonably natural lighting level on the FG. I did try lifting the shadows further, but it did not look right.
