Having walked the streets of Valletta over several days we were determined to try and see inside some of the wonderful buildings. We found this 'little' gem, the Casa Rocca Piccola the home of the De Piro family which is one of the last private unconverted Valletta palaces still lived in today, the history of which goes back over 400 years.

Photographs were allowed but were extremely difficult as we were in a small group tour of about 8 people and the lighting in some places really needed more equipment that just a hand held camera. Just a few shots will at least give you a flavour of this beautiful home, I did try my hardest!!!!! At least it gives you all a change from my flowers, bugs and my holiday scenes!

Thank you for looking and for recent comments and votes.

Best wishes - Carole

An accomplished capture, Carole, although I would never tire of landscapes/scenes.

Despite the difficulties you mention, I think you have a cracking shot of the interior here, Carole, well composed and especially well exposed.
Looks an interesting place to have visited.
Ronnie.

Great shot Carole -it looks a beautiful Casa.
I love the pink & green theme. (I bought a pink& green picnic bag from a company called Green & Pink
The furnishings look sumptous.
You did well to capture this without best equipement.

Nice house Carole, but a bit posh for my taste.
I would have these paintings off the wall and get my flat screen telly and pin up pics up there instead.
Their wallpaper is all faded too,so that will be replaced with some nice chunky woodchip, painted a nice rusty brown.
I don't like these tiled floors as they get all slippy when I spill my drinks on them,so a nice deep piled carpet needed here to soak it up.
Yes,a nice house, but I reckon it could be better !!
Mick.

An excellent capture here, Carole, I can appreciate the difficulty shooting these interiors, especially if you can't use a tripod Wink
