The guardians of Dubrovnik, or that is how it seemed as I was perched on the top of Mount Srd looking down on the goats even more precariously perched than I was!

Many thanks as always for your time.

A view of Dubrovnik I have not seen before: and so nice to see the goats in the f/g......that was decent of them standing still whilst you got your shot.
Ronnie.

You did well to get this DOF in such low light Gill, well done for capturing the height.

wonderful shot. It is a double blessing to me as I stood about there 30 years ago, on a snowy day and loved the view. (only had an old voiglander though)
and as it happens, I always dreaded to go back there because I was afraid the war had destroyed it all.
You just reassured me.

Thank you Ed and Annette ... the only evidence in the town of the Homeland War is in the exhibitions and the photography of the time. There has been an amazing job done to put everything right ... at the top of Mt Srd the fort is as it was and it is then when it hits home how awful this was for the Croatians.
