This is the Guildhall in Coventry. There isn't a charge to go around this place but donations are welcome. There is also a cracking Tea Room across the courtyard, and for those with an interest in the Fire Service or WW2 in general there is a memorial to the Firemen of Coventry who died during the bombing in WW2.

I think this is St Marry's hall in Coventry.
One of the oldest parts next to the old runnins of the cathreadel...
It some time known as the Guild hall...
If you are not from Coventry you may never get to see this beauity...
There a room in a tower area not far from this point that was a holding point for Marry Queen of scots.
Not sure if she was on way to London to be killed ot back to Scotland...
Back to image...

Trust the countcil to leave the chairs out...
Great work you took me back to my childhood.

Dave - You are correct, it is St. Mary's Hall aka The Guildhall and I'm glad it took you back to your childhood.
I only came across it as I love to explore places that I visit and I don't always stick around the touristy places.
I went into the room where Queen Mary was held but it was too bland to bother taking a photo.
I agree about the chairs, that was a bit disappointing.
Quote: Excellent p/p, not going to mention those chairs, sorry I just did, when such history abounds why leave chairs of that ilke about.
Deserves more attention.
Very annoying when they do things like that. I wonder, though, if the place is used for weddings etc and they were having one later or had not long had one there.
