Firstly, these are machines from very different era's.
Secondly, this Hawk is close to the end of it's service life and is soon going to be mothballed at Shawbury where it will be cannibalised for parts, whilst the Spitfire will be lovingly tended for many years to come.
Finally, the Spit was going quite fast and the Hawk going very slowly to stay in formation.
So that explains the title ![]()
They did a nice formation display together. This is about a quarter of the frame at 300mm.
I'll load the original for comparison as V2.
