In the hot afternoon of last week's SVR 40's weekend found this woman sat quietly under canvas reading a book away from the main area - although it was a little shaded where she was the book was lit from the sun and reflecting back onto her which helped get some good detail - hope you like it as it was one of my faves.

I really like this Al, nice and natural looking image with that lovely soft natural light. You can really see the woman is really concentrating on reading her book and not posing for the camera which makes it bit more special.

Image deserves more attention.

Have a great weekend
Yung

Well spotted - this could be an image from a 1940's war film.

The reflector has worked a treat here, a lovely eye catch light.

Her book worked perfect for the light and the canvas makes for such a clean b/g. What a lovely shot and so natural........Sandy

I think this is a very good candid photograph of the woman reading. Mind you, if it were a portrait, I would have expected you to remove the clutter on the table in front of her before taking her photograph. Nevertheless, I would like to suggest that, perhaps, you should have taken the photograph from a viewpoint a little lower and a little more to the left?
