It's a pity the background isn't entirely blue as the stripe is a little distracting but I can't see what you could have done about that. I'd suggest cloning out the paint scratch beneath the horse's mouth and cropping a little from the left (enough to lose the other paint scratch).

Good qual. for 1/2000. I didn't notice all those points spacey talks about - just that I would like to see more of the eye, or a catchlight in the eye, to give it some sparkle.

A good profile - and good use of the blue bg.

Its a fine shot, - very nice detail, - nice exposure.

It does benefit with a plain background, and Ive loaded 2 versions, one blue, one black that you might like.

Other than that, cropped a little off the left and sharpened.

Regards

Thank you. With the black background I find that the reins are lost. I have to admit I hadn't really noticed the scratches, clearly I am not critical enough!

I'm a bit late to this, but I'm critiquing it in tandem with this, your most recent shot as everything is right about that one that isn't about this. The background here is indeed quite distracting, and as for the horse the ears are slightly splayed and the eyes half closed - whicjh just says a bored unattentive horse. All of these things are improved in the other shot....
