It's was -12ºC here on the Norfolk/Suffolk border yesterday morning, not so low for some places Im sure, but pretty chilly for these parts! A thick, freezing fog made it tricky to get any decent shots, but it did isolate this frozen oak nicely.

I really like isolated trees covered in snow - so simple, but so beautiful! A gorgeous capture!

Thanks Howie, I did try that but because its through quite a heavy mist it gets very grainy and a lot of the detail on the hoarfrost got lost, its already been bumped up quite a lot from the Raw. Know what you mean though, would be punchier with blacker blacks

Another excellent image. One of those you can just stare at for some while, take in its atmosphere, and just smile Smile
I also headed out yesterday to capture frost-covered things. I don't like the cold, but it was a good day!
Cheers -- Steve

A really chilled capture, we often get that sort of icy fog here!

You've conveyed the chill and bleakness of winter so superbly in this atmospheric monochrome. The cold conditions you've described are very similar to the ones I experienced at the top of the Cotswolds on Monday morning where it was like a b&w world with deep snow all around and hard frost on the trees and bushes and freezing fog in the air
