The Jacobite steam train runs between Fort William and Malliag between May and October. It is seen here crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct.
The viaduct, built by Sir Robert McAlpine, formed part of the Mallaig extension of the West Highland Railway which was constructed between 1897 and 1901. It is built entirely of concrete and consists of 21 arches each spanning 15metres and has a maximum height of 30 metres. Apparently the train and viaduct were used in the "Harry Potter" films (I must have been asleep) but I expect this was before the graffiti, which you can just see here, was added to the last coach.

Wonderful curve, Cliff, and the smoke follows it round making a very good composition.

A grand angle you've managed by a bit of hiking up the hill here Cliff, what a shame that the graffiti fanatics have to spoil so many things for their "enjoyment ".
