I managed to get back to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park so had another go at The Seated Lady.
Any feedback very welcome.
Enjoy the latest snow, taking the kids sledging shortly.

Nice photo, your Composition/Exposure are fine, the only small gripe is the footprints, (but what can you do)

Agreed, it does look a little trampled.

She must be so cold by now. Thats not snow either, just some heavy frost!

My CS6 did some lens correction all on its own, and ACR wanted to warm it slightly, so I compromised, and reduced what it wanted by half. Tree branches a touch to sharp?

Very bright light handles well.

Hi Willie, I guess our recent bout of snow is nothing compared to what you get in Canada.

I looked again at the shot in ACR and white balance is 5600K as shot which renders the snow white. Interestingly the auto setting wants to warm it up quite a bit. It looks good on cloudy setting which is probably close to your mod. Lens correction profile was also used in ACR.

You could be right about the branches but it could be that they are really fine. When I upload to epz I apply a resizing action that adds sharpening that generally works fine.

Thanks as always.

Rather good. Not much I would want to crit. I never use auto correction of any kind except sometimes to see what happens. I find the auto correct version is usually wrong.

Paul, I have only just started using the lens correction profiles and find them quite good, especially as a starting point.
Thanks,
Phil
