Stunning view.

I would take a little off the clouds at the top and prob do a bit of dodge and burning in the clouds but to be honest my only critique really is I wish I could see it large...fabulous vista Somnath ! Smile

You've captured the solitude and mood superbly.

Great capture although I think luminace's mod add's some drama to the shot...

the mods address the problems with the sky very nicely but a good shot none the less

It's a lovely shot with a real sense of bleakness and drama all in one. I agree with Frank on the lack of a focal point leaving the image a little empty but I like it all the same as I feel that it draws you in. An obvious focal point such as a dead tree would work and may be more pleasing to the eye but have you moving quickly on to the next attractive thumbnail in the gallery.
Cathy's mod has really helped the land and lifts the image off the page a bit more.
For me, this feels to me to be a more emotive image than a technical checklist being ticked off which I like and sorry for the ramble.

Regards,
Barney

hello Somnath, im confused now because i though you and
clickandimagine were one and the same ???

either way i wish you a happy new year.

love the image and in particular the contrast of the hills with the rolling nature of the foreground.

only issue i have is the really bright whites in the sky and i agree with previous members who suggest a pano version cropping above the mountain tops would be stronger. its a wonderful view and i would love to stand before it.

best regards
Phil

The foreground is superb - the sky a bit too bright. Tonal range outside the normal exposure range. I think you could select and darken the sky sufficiently in software - the other way is graduated ND at the taking stage - not something we all carry in our pockets.
