I have had this shot in my minds eye for ages. I just needed the time and place. Curses to you, but seriously I am envious of this photo. Nice one. Ralph.
Really like this, nothing arty about it, just a darn good eye for a darn good shot.
Would like to see a bit more sky on this though, would give a sense of shooting at something rather then just the edge of the frame, maybe change this to portrait and add a bit more to the top, and even add the blast from the shotgun? Just a suggestion, hope you don't mind.

Thanks Stewart, yep I would have like more sky at the top but that's all I had.... I thought about cloning but didn't think it would look right, and my timings not up to getting the blast!

cracking silhouette image and so different. Just love the way that the dogs attention is drawn to whatever the shooter is aiming at. Brilliant. 
agree about more space at the top and also with Richard about muting of the burn bright bits but a good idea
