I quite like the idea!
However, I think it would look better with a tighter crop, making sure the whole bottle is in the frame, tacking out the left side passed the glass and dim down the bright light of the candle.
Finally lift the shadows around the fruit.
Taking the photo in raw would make those changes very easy in Photoshop or elements.

Saying all that, I find your picture very inspiring and have to thank you for the idea.
