Really good shot Ian, with a nice strong contrast, good mono conversion.
My only suggestions would be to crop space from the left to move the subject off centre, as in the mod, and I would like to have seen his feet with a little more room at the bottom if it was possible to move back a little more when shooting.
I really like this image and it suits the conversion.
I have to agree with Willie about the left hand crop and more space around his feet.
yes me too, i wont repeat what they say other wise i really like the image, it says something about why it was taken and i appload the choice to go mono and the conversion is very symathetic to the subject.
i like the little details like the way the walking stick, the way the books hold the end in shot and not part books and i like the central position and the left side doorway. room is the issue, its tight at top and even tighter on the base.
id be very chuffed with that image and i guess the chap would too, you gave him his dignity i think and he would thank you for that. he also looks bright and his expression is good.
Wow thanks for the input and the award im right chuffed
