Hello everyone, hope you are all well. Here for you to consider this time is my attempt at a little bit of poetry in the form of a love letter. Now I have my E2 membership at long last, I am hoping you will enjoy this in it's larger size. It was not easy trying to get the balance between pictures and the poem. This design is meant for the poem to be the emphasis here and not the photo. However I have tried to balance the two. Hope I have at least made a half decent attempt. Love to hear all your comments, suggestions and ideas. As I always learn from them and enjoy reading them so much. Thank you so much for the previous comments which I found so encouraging.
Take care and I will do so catching up over the next few days.

Lovely, Ann. I'm no critic but it will do for me because it appears to be from the heart. It's very thoughtfully presented.

Best wishes,

Peter

Hi Ann, Hope you're keeping well. I like the roses and the presentation, but find it very hard to read the verse. Think I would prefer this on a plain background. If it was intended as a card I would expect the verse to be on the inside. I'm not being picky - it's just how I see it.
Joan.

Tend to agree with Joan. I love the actual Rose image and would like to see it presented minus the words and the additional frame. You doubtless already know, I like "simple" with floral images!

Congratulations on becoming an EPZ member!
I must agree with above, I love the roses and I love the poetry but just a bit distracting together!

Love the design, Ann, but the verse is difficult to read in places, particularly where it overlaps the border. Also, not sure what 'ru7stling' is Wink Carol

Very nicely compiled image, Ann: I tend to agree with some others in that with my dicky eyesight the text is not easy to read. But what I can read suggests your talents extend well beyond photography and image processing. Very well done.

LOL LOL LOL. well what a disappointment I knew it was a risk putting the two together but that was my vision. It was supposed to be a love letter as the title suggests. Not a card this time lol.
I had great difficulty with the balance as I have said. Getting the writing to show enough but not yet to overpower the picture too much. The size of the writing was difficult too. Too small and very hard to read, too big and it became overpowering. I thought i might have overcome this and got it about right. My eyes are not the best either, but could at least read it, except I guess I missed the spelling mistake in rustling as Carol managed to find lol, thanks Carol. Well I really do appreciate your honesty everyone. I took a chance and failed. That is life I suppose. Will try another version later when i get my confidence back lol. Sad
Love to you all
Ann.

Despite some of the text being a little difficult to read, it's a beautiful creation, and a lovely piece of poetry, Ann - very well done Smile

Ann it's a beautiful image and a beautiful poem, but I have to agree with others that they really don't work well together in this format. But hey, don't let it rock your confidence, there's no reason for it to as you are a very creative person and this is, I believe, the first time I've been a little negative about your work!

On another note, welcome to E2 world!!

Theresa

A clever idea once again, Ann, I too found the verse hard to read, maybe if the picture was more translucent and the verse in the middle it would have worked, but that is only my opinion.

no need to appologise for this brave attempt, the words are lovely and so is the image, just that together they get a bit too busy, perhaps the border was one step too many which has made it so difficult to read.

A wonderful start photo Ann, but I have to agree with the majority on this one I do not think the poem on the photo works it distracts what looks like a stunning photo so a vote for the photo sorry if I have been harsh
