A stunning shot.... I want to go there now. I can feel a call to my friends in Edinburgh coming on, a weekend in Scotland is just what I need.
Actually I need to say more. This is one of the best shots I've seen in ages Ronnie, I keep going back for another look, beautiful work.

Yes, colour is ven better. What the other one had In frost this one has in fine tones which show that life is still there.
How hard is it to live on a little island like this I wonder. Lovely image in colour too Ronnie.
Dougie
Clear and bright, Ronnie. The 'coldness' seems to show better in this colour version, and the detail is more discernable with the aid of colour.
Dave
Spot on exposer on the snow as we all know it's not easy to capture. lovely detail Ronnie, colour for me.
John

Composed and exposed with perfection Ronnie, beautiful landscape.
Regards
Trev.
The mono version was lovely, but this colour version has to be a winner for me...and brrrr, I can almost feel the cold!
And what a delight it must be to live in one of those cottages beside the loch, what better view could you wish for?
I'm afraid I'm just going to have to part with my UA on this, Ronnie ![]()

The comments are interesting, Ronnie.
The colour version is SO different, beautifully subtle and I find myself favouring this one of the two.
A gorgeous shot Ronnie, I really like both versions.

I agree with the other accolades, Ronnie; this is very special. Nice to get the feel of isolation from the diminutive cottage with the hills behind it. The FG colour nicely contrasts the snowy backdrop. I like that your PoV allows the sweep of the right hand hill to take off from the cottage, leading your eye through the frame nicely. To help that, I might have been tempted to take a wee bit more off the FG water, perhaps 1/3 in order to allow the left hand hill reflection to better lead your eye across the water to the cottage. A minor suggestion only in a terrific image!
Colourfully stunning image Ronnie.
Look at all those awards.
I’m on a catch-up as usual. ![]()

Oh aye, that's the bonnie, bonnie Loch and its bonnie, bonnie shores and villages. Great image, one of those that make my heart beat a little faster.
