...reflected along with the Aonach Eagach Ridge in the surface of Loch Achtriochtan.

The light was very contrasty today and I left it that way.

Great play with shapes and symmetry, the shadows are very effective too and overall a very abstract effect; looks almost like a fern leaf. Excellent image.

Dougie, that has to be the most glass-like water reflection I have ever seen. Perfect.
Would be fun to see the image inverted.
Stunningly clear light.

That shadow and its reflection give a heart shape lying on its side.

Took me a while, Dougie, but I saw it in the end.
Brings to mind (obliquely) the celebrated Father Ted episode including the comparison between small and far away. But much more attractive to look at.
Glorious.

Bill

Many Thanks to Ann & Andy for their user awards, made the cold day warm for me. Grin 9 degrees in fact in the sunshine, a lot colder in the shade.

Thanks to all for your kind comments, it was a pleasure to find the reflection on Achtriochtan, and watch a helicopter ascend the ridge in seconds like an express lift. Must have been quite a sight from the chopper.

This is gorgeous Dougie; a perfect combination of landscape and natural abstract; impressive!
I was going to put my UA on it, but it didn't work because it was uploaded before my last UA; missed it Sad
You were in excellent pun-mode with your comments Wink

I really like this Dougie. Superbly balanced composition and a very well handled exposure. The moon in the sky is just the cherry on the cake.
