Work only went and sent me to Washington for a week! I didn't get a lot of time off but I had to go and get a photo of this iconic statue!
I started off by adding a B&W filter with photoshop, then took the yellows, blues and greens down to zero. This got rid of the background, the roof and the writing. I then lightened the white of his statue and tried to bring the marble out a little more. I did try a HDR but it just didn't look right in my eyes!
I have served 25 years in the Royal Navy so far and this has to be in the top few statues/ places I have EVER been!
