Thanks so much for the c/c's on the "Oscar" photographs.

My reasons for sharing these photographs (and there will probably be another week of "Oscars"!!!) was purely to bring an awareness of the huge substance abuse problem we have on our planet today.
Many times we are blind to what goes on right underneath our noses. Many times our very own children become victoms and we have no idea until its too late.
I myself have had the experience of my own child being caught in this very web. When my daughter turned 15 last year she went with a couple of friends to watch a movie. The one friend asked her if she didn't want to rather go to a party, of course she was quick to say yes. At the party the girls were fed alcohol which was laced with ecstacy and the date rape drug. Thank goodness the one girl with them forced them to get back to the mall where we were to pick them up "after the movie". My child and her friends were not only reeking of alcohol but in a euphoric state. When I got them home, I subtlely hung out with them for a while and got to the bottom of their unnatural behaviour. I left it until the next day, and explained what I thought had happened, and then took her to be tested. She was tested positive! That night I took her to the drug/prostitute area in our city. She saw first hand what could have happened to her. Thank God that I have had the experience of working with addicts and was able to discern and deal with the situation before it got out of hand.
Today my daughter is fully anti drug and alcohol.

Now for the image upload for today!
This play "Drug Eric" was Written, Directed etc etc by the men in the main Rehab. These guys are in the first stages of recovery.
Here we have the 2 party props. The guy in the blue dress is Eric's girlfriend, and is waiting for him at the 'Rave' while he goes and scores!

What fun they look as if they are having, it must be good for them to know that fun and good living can be enjoyed without the help of drugs.

Great message great image. Photgraphically the image might work better as a black and white because that red dress is so dominant.

Albert

Love the costumes. Very powerful, and a super write up.
