This was from our third night of aurora watching, when most of the sky had cloud clover but luckily directly overhead was clear. After about 20 minute we watched as a ribbon of aurora seemed to fold up and produce this 'corona', formed from the perspective as you look up into the sky. Handily the star formation of 'The Plough' was in the field of view to give some sense of scale - that was when we stopped going 'wow' and remembered to hit the shutter button! We kept watching for another 2 hours but did not get a repeat performance.
