This was shot during Asheville's annual Bele Chere music festival of 2009. Every year during this event, and in different sections of the city - in this case, Pritchard Park - fundamentalist Christian sects gather to alert people of Judgment Day while attempting to convert several spectators. As a Unitarian Universalist, I merely see their presence as a unique chance to capture another event taking place - and have used a sepia tone to heighten the intensity of their performance.
