Getting ready to through these away now but couldn't resist a shot or two before they went. I was amazed at the colour and shapes in these beautiful flowers as they give their last.

Taken in front of the kitchen window with flash.

Thanks to all who commented on my previous upload.

I think the background and borders let this shot down a little. The grey is very grey and flattens the shot. Great detail and nicely in focus. The flash has worked well - there's little obvious sign that a flash has been used.

The grey background works for me. Good petal detail.

Everyone to their own Smile
I do believe a white background would have given it that extra Oomph!
However let thast not detract from the quality of the image

An excellent image with fantastic clarity and detail. Yes another bg may improve a little but as Adrian said lets not detract from the fact that the subject matter is stunning.
