Went out for the day yesterday with Alison ( epz AlleyCatz) & Wooly to an great abandoned farmhouse close to my home.
We took along a few 'extras',including my Granddaughter,Paige whom you have seen several times & will certainly see again Wink

Lots of preparation went into this shoot,we did have plenty of 'props' filling the cars, some were used, some not...better to have too much than not enough Wink

This was taken in one of the rooms of the house, in daylight,no jp'ery in Photoshop, just 'as was'

Paige was a star...a great model, especially when she had 'Uncle Alan' to keep her occupied Wink

Great day out guys, thanks for the company...as always Smile

Thankyou for taking the time to look/comment.
Janet xx

She looks beautiful in this, though I find the bg a touch too strong and wouldn't mind it a touch softer.

Thanks guys.
Cheers for your thoughts Cole, slightly less room in there than I would have liked TBH & I really wanted Paige & the back of the chair to be in focus,I tried with the lens slightly more open but I lost the detail where I needed it to be.I suppose I could have 'shopped' it but then I think you can always tell & it don't look real does it ?

Quote: She looks beautiful

She certainly is & I love here dearly...but.........do not let that look of purity ,beauty & innocence fool you though...she is a right little madam sometimes Wink

Outstanding portrait. I love it. The beauty and elegance of the model contrasts so well with the rather more ' rustic ' chair and BG. Top class.

A very beautiful portrait of an exceptionally beautiful child - she is obviously made for modelling! Lovey work - one of the nicest child portraits I have seen.

Foreground: A+

Background: B-

She's a star Jan .... I really do like how you've staged this but for me the background is too much. The bricks are too big, too geometric for the tale you're telling. Niggles I know, but with a different background this could be magical.

Cheers Dave...I could have removed the bg & dropped her in another...but I didn't Wink...so get me some smaller bricks then Wink Tongue
Seriously...I think I know where you are coming from,I guess I needed more of the actual room itself to avoid the niggles & create the magic huh ?
I wanted to sit her by one of the fireplaces in that house but the light just wasn't right, too much on one...too little on another ( try telling Paige to sit still for a longer exposure...lol...not a good idea !! )...ho hum, maybe a return visit could be on the cards,I need to bribe her with something good Wink
On the other hand you could pop over for a visit & show me what you mean...perhaps that would alleviate some of your boredom Wink

From Paige's positioning just off centre the props and the use of light it is obvious a great deal of thought has gone into creating this wonderful portrait.
