Here's my attempt at using a 15 sec shutter speed for the bg, blended with a sharper shot of Sophie to create an ethereal quality to the overall image.
The lower part of the dress shows the blending from the longer exposure into the fast exposure, giving the detail I felt was needed to the subject. I also added a long exposure sky, the old pier, and toning, to add to the overall look.
From this shoot, I have worked out how to progress with this idea, using less blending/manipulation, and hope to continue experimenting in the early autumn.
Thanks for looking.
Wish I had a square 10stop filter, so I wasn't limited to the 24-70, using a screw-in filter. I could have used a 70-200, kept dry, and just left Sophie to get wet haha ![]()

Expression says her rendezvous is late. Determined to wait until hell freezes over? TG
Great work Andrew, like your thinking with the 70-200 too ![]()
