Alright, I admit these photos aren't technically perfect - far from it. I had only my 18-200 lens, I'd never really tried to shoot a gig before and really didn't know what i was doing, the lighting in the place wasn't great (for some unfathomable reason the main spotlights seemed focused on the back wall, not the band), and these guys just never stopped moving.

However, all that aside, I hope these give an idea of what a fun time was had by all, including the band (and don't you just hate watching a band who clearly can't be bothered to at least pretend they're enjoying themselves?)
Comments, and suggestions for improvement very welcome ( and yes, getting a faster, more suitable lens is on my to-do list)

Ok Barry,I don't think you will be too upset when I tell you not to sit by the phone awaiting a call from Cheryl Cole to be her official gig photographer !!
However,Susan Boyle lives quite close to me,so I could put in a word there if you like ?
Mick.

A cracking set Barry, full of attitude, and loads of get up and go.
