Interesting and creative, I'm working out what you've done here. I think it would work better for me if the edges of the colour areas in the foreground figure were softer, also perhaps on the lady's red bag.
What does work well for me is the very limited, harmonious palette against the shades of grey. Earthy browns and greens, with just the occasional splash of hot red.

Hello Moira well were do l start ! one total shot converted to b/w and used transparancy applied. then a cut out of the the people and speed effect applied.. then imported another shot of the same and cut outs of two prominant people superimposed on top !
Then whole lot grouped together and a little HDR applied in Topaz x4 .. Serif x5 was the main photo processing area ...hope all this makes sense what a parlarva ! Best wishes Alan.
