An engine cab in the elephants' graveyard at Tanfield Railway.
I was pleased to note that most of our U3A Photography group found their way to this subject in the course of our visit.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

A happy hunting ground for abstracts, rust, grot etc. Great shot which fits the theme of the day because it doesn't take a lot of imagination to see a face in there.

I reckoned that this one should be pretty obvious! I do wish the paint drips were under the eyes though...

For anyone in the North East, I've shown the Map location and I can thoroughly recommend a visit. There's no entry charge, you can just wander around, including inside the engine shed where volunteers will be working on restoring locomotives; and there are trains running on the line on Sundays.
Cheers everyone. And a Very Silly Sunday to you.

I think he needs the Fat Controller to take charge and send him off to Thomas and friends for some much needed TLC, Moira. He needs cheering up.

Entirely serendipitous, due to the angle of the sun (and the fact that there was some that day... ) Thanks for noticing. I'm a bit worried about his astigmatism though.

You'd look sad, too, if you were relegated to the graveyard. Your only chance is to become a magnet for photographers, then your fame could be far greater than it ever was before.
