Headed up onto the Derwent Edge yesterday, my 3rd trip to get some shots of the Salt Cellar, with the 2 previous occasions resulting in overcast conditions. It very early happened again, and while I was waiting, the sun finally dipped under the clouds, and what ensued was some of some of the best light I've had the fortune to photograph in. I dare say the next time I return to this spot will be when the snow falls.

So frequently happens, just when you think it is all over for the day, the sun peeks out for a final flourish. A glorious bit of evening light.

Wonderful light on the rocks Harsharn. The exposure difference between land and sky is beautifully balanced as well.
