I really need your opinions on these as i am totally unsure of whether they look good or not :/ and i want them to be perfect seeing as they're part of a set im sending to a magazine.
Hmmmm this is a tough one.....
Knowing your "style" with this kind of processing, I would say its another very good shot, but for me, maybe a touch TOO far away from "real" to go to a magazine. I would possibly tone it back, but the light, pose, model and colours are, as always, really great. But its starting to look a tiny, tiny touch overdone. Pull it back a touch to fall in line with your other shots like this and I reckon you will be onto a winner.....but this is a personal thing. Others may disagree. Its up to you regarding the advice....will be interested to know what you think when advice comes in....
I can see what you're going for, but for me you're losing a bit too much of the photo. The compositions need to be a bit more balanced, perhaps even stylised themselves to take this sort of reductionist treatment.
This is all very subjective of course, but for me it falls between two stools. Too obviously treated to be rough and edgy and too informally posed to work as stripped-down graphic presentation.
They might give a different impression at full resolution - I also suspect they may well divide opinion. With this sort of thing there's bound to be largely influenced by personal taste.
Thankyou very much for your comments and i totally agree that they need to fit in more with the other images.
Looking at them properly now, they do look alot more unprofessional than my other images, maybe heading more towards arty than edgy and fashion? But i am going to take away both of your comments and re-do these thankyou for your help
Love the effect on these. The model has a great look and its styled really well. My only slightly negative feedback would be that they are very similar shots to submit together. I'd say facially the left shot is better so I'd be tempted to crop right in on her beautiful face, make them look a bit different to each other. Good luck with the submission. Which mag is it for by the way? I'll look out for it
The submission is for YEAH magazine However i've decided to leave these particular photos out, as they were very hard to work with in the end :/ But thankyou
